Universidad Católica celebra transferencia de tecnología de Harina de Bagazo de Uva

El pasado lunes 27 de mayo se realizó la entrega de una nueva licencia de secreto industrial en la Universidad Católica, otorgada a la empresa ‘Harinas y Productos de Bagazo de Uva Chile SpA’, fundada por el emprendedor Ángel Valenzuela.

UC was accredited as the leader in patents in Chile for the 4th consecutive year

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile was accredited for 4th consecutive year as the educational institution with more invention patent applications (40) in Chile in 2018, which places us as leaders in an area that is key for innovation and technology transfer.

Important international rankings place UC as Top 1 in Latin America and No. 127 worldwide

Ranking Times Higher Education placed the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as a leader in Latin America among 150 educational institutions in 12 countries in the region. In turn, QS World University Rankings 2020 placed it in No. 127 worldwide. Considering there are more than 26.000 educational institutions in the world, our University is within 1% of the best universities worldwide.

Alvaro Ossa became part of the organization that ensures the quality of the Higher Education Institutions

The Technology Transfer Director of the UC, Alvaro Ossa, was appointed by CORFO, which is the government agency that supports entrepreneurship, innovation and competitiveness in Chile, as a member of the National Accreditation Committee (CNA, in Spanish).

A large audience was present in the 10th anniversary of PCT was celebrated with an International Seminar: Patents and Innovation with Global Impact. This event was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Instituto Nacional de la Propiedad Industrial (INAPI) of Chile and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with the support of the Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas [Spanish Patents and Trade Marks Office].
