Plant-Based Nutraceutical Rich in Omega-3
Summary
This technology consists of developing a plant-based nutraceutical rich in Omega-3 from a select strain of ocean algae rich in total lipids, fatty acids and antioxidant pigments. This product can be used as a dietary supplement for humans and/or animals, and as a replacement for ingredients (such as fish oil and meal) used in animal products, which have steadily increased in price over recent years in addition to being less and less available due to overfishing.
