Sueñaletras: Software for teaching deaf children how to read and write
Summary
Sueñaletras is an app that can be downloaded for free as a teacher support program designed to teach deaf and hypoacusic children aged 4 to 10 years how to read and write.
It provides users with a suite of resources to enhance their reading comprehension skills, such as, sign language videos, fingerspelling and lip reading activities, which are all accompanied by texts.
This software was selected as one of six winners of the Qatar Foundation 2011 WISE Awards for being an educational project with an outstanding impact on education and society.

Resource for foundations/institutions providing support to special needs children.
Development Status
TRL 7 – There are currently several versions of the Sueñaletras software designed and available for Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Cataluña, Panama and Pakistan, among others. All versions can be downloaded and used without an Internet connection.
Advantages
Uses can use the previously mentioned resources to add new words and their corresponding representation to Sueñaletras.
