SIPLYC: Interactive System for Promoting Language and Communication

Summary
SIPLYC is a game-based software for use with tablets (Android) that is aimed at stimulating language and communication skills in children ages two to three and half years. A tutor app for use by the educator is included in the game for learning supervision.
The game consists of various modules that stimulate children’s language skills which are then evaluated by parents and educators who also receive a daily report describing what was learned and performed.
Potential Use
Can be used at traditional daycare centers and daycare centers associated with family-care clinics.

TRL 3 – Experimental proof of concept
Advantages
SIPLYC can be used as an early intervention tool for children.
Also, tutors can keep a record of each child’s correct pronunciation and manage breaks throughout the game while also monitoring the child’s progress through each game.
