Food Innovation Technology Center
CeTA (Centro Tecnológico para la Innovación Alimentaria—food innovation technology center) is a non-profit public-private foundation whose mission consists of turning Chile into a global giant in sophisticated and sustainable food production, thereby paving the way for Chile to engage in highly competitive, modern, international markets where it could double its exports by 2030.
With this goal in mind, the Center is the driving force behind the creation of four other centers for innovation located strategically throughout Chile. Together they make up a National Piloting Network that provides the necessary infrastructure for prototyping, piloting and bringing to scale food innovations originating in regions with enormous production potential, rich in agro-food raw materials and byproducts that will benefit from added value.
Founded in 2015 and funded by CORFO, the Center is part of the roadmap drawn up for the Transforma Alimentos strategic program.
