International Center of Excellence in Marine Energy

MERIC (Marine Energy Research and Innovation Center) was established in Chile with funding from the Ministry of Energy, through CORFO’s program for attracting international centers of excellence in R+D.

The purpose of this initiative is to diversify Chile’s power grid and turn the country into a global benchmark for developing renewable marine energy solutions.
